![]() ![]() When I finished the book it was a shock to me that the end came so soon.As I am also from the same Bank from the author is and my tenure is also almost the same, I joined the Bank in 1969 and retired in 2009. ![]() ![]() I finished the book in just two sittings though I wanted to finish it in the very first sitting. This is certainly an excellent book and a good reading. Bharij had probably way back in eighties, knowingly or unknowingly, laid the foundation of a strong momentum for gender parity in India. ![]() Indeed “when the book ends you get the feeling why did the book end, I want more." This says it all! Ms. It’s the rich and personalized content of the book together with brilliant narration that makes the book so gripping that it has evoked such a varied and emotional response. Some readers felt that it was their own story in similar situations, some found it to be a humorous tale of a woman’s travails at work, and others found it a gripping and emotional narrative of one’s corporate journey. I know this was her maiden attempt and she came out with flying colours as she did in her career in the banking sector under the so called male dominated bastion. Hence, the delay in showing up with the review of this awesome book “Restless Days Sleepless Nights” by Ranjana Bharij. It’s always a bit difficult to write an unbiased review of a book if the author is known to you. ![]()
